YOGESH DUTT
Chef Pâtissier · Hospitality Adviser · Independent Researcher
Pastry has taken me through luxury hotels, professional kitchens and cultures across Europe, the Middle East and North America—from Delhi to Abu Dhabi, from the Norwegian fjords to the palaces of Dresden.
What began as a profession gradually became a way of understanding hospitality.
The kitchen taught precision. Hospitality taught observation. I became interested not only in what appeared on the plate, but in everything surrounding it: the rhythm of service, the atmosphere of a room, the rituals of welcome and the details that remain long after a meal has ended.
Those experiences became the foundation of Abode of Yogi.
ABODE OF YOGI
An Independent Hospitality Practice
Abode of Yogi brings together pâtisserie, hospitality advisory and independent research within a single practice.
Some projects begin in the pastry kitchen. Others begin with a conversation, a question or a page in a notebook. Each explores the same enduring idea:
What makes hospitality worth remembering?
Pastry is approached not simply as a culinary discipline, but as an expression of care, judgement and craftsmanship. Those same principles inform advisory work, independent research and every project undertaken through the practice.
Alongside professional practice, Abode publishes original research into luxury hospitality, including the Global Luxury Hospitality Hierarchy (GLHH)—an independent framework examining how the world's leading hotel operators cultivate enduring standards of excellence.
ABODE ADVISORY
Hospitality is shaped long before the first guest arrives.
Abode Advisory works with hotels, restaurants, hospitality brands, educational institutions and entrepreneurs on hospitality strategy, pâtisserie concepts, guest experience, research and professional development.
Drawing upon international experience and independent inquiry, every engagement is approached with thoughtful observation, practical insight and a commitment to creating meaningful hospitality.
ABODE RESEARCH
The hospitality industry benefits from independent inquiry.
Abode Research explores hospitality through original publications, analytical frameworks and thoughtful observation, contributing ideas intended to inform professional practice and encourage meaningful discussion.
Alongside structured research, the Abode Journal provides an editorial space for essays, reflections and observations inspired by the continuing practice of hospitality.
ABODE RECOGNITION
Recognition is never the purpose of the work.
It is the result of sustained curiosity, disciplined practice and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the hospitality profession.
Editorial features, interviews and publications document moments from an ongoing professional journey while reflecting the broader values that continue to shape Abode of Yogi.
ABODE PHILOSOPHY
There is another way to think about sweetness.
Not as indulgence, but as care made visible.
Luxury is rarely found in excess. More often, it appears through judgement, consistency and the quiet confidence to do ordinary things exceptionally well.
People may forget what was served.
They seldom forget how they were made to feel.
ABODE PERSPECTIVE
France · Germany · Norway · Canada · United Arab Emirates · India
Working across cultures has reinforced a simple observation: while traditions may differ, exceptional hospitality is remarkably consistent in its generosity, precision and care.
Every country, every kitchen and every collaboration has contributed a different perspective, strengthening the belief that hospitality is ultimately a universal language of welcome, craftsmanship and human connection.
That perspective continues to shape every project undertaken through Abode of Yogi.
CONTACT ABODE
Every meaningful collaboration begins with a conversation.
Abode welcomes enquiries from hotels, restaurants, hospitality brands, educational institutions and individuals interested in hospitality, advisory, research, speaking and professional development.
Whether you are exploring a new concept, seeking an independent perspective or beginning a conversation, I would be pleased to hear from you.
There is a different way to think about sweetness.
Not as reward or excess, but as care made visible. It is expressed through intention, shared with generosity and remembered long after the final bite.
The finest expressions of hospitality are rarely the loudest. They are found in quiet gestures, thoughtful details and a sense of care that asks for nothing in return.
That belief lies at the heart of Abode of Yogi.
